Meet Fred & Lisa Taylor

Thanks for checking us out! Welcome to Salmon River Drifters. Our names are Fred & Lisa Taylor - we are a husband & wife duo, and proud parents of two little anglers, Mackay & Maizie. We feel extremely fortunate to call the Salmon River Canyon our home, and we want to share it with you!

Fred was quite literally raised in the Salmon River Canyon. His love for the Salmon River didn’t just come from his decade of experience guiding, but is deeply rooted in childhood memories of chasing Steelhead with his grandpa, and spending time on the water with his family. Playing on the river wasn’t just an occasional thing, it was an every day occurrence. Fred’s motivation for sharing his childhood backyard with his guests comes from a very personal level.

When Lisa moved to Riggins she knew there was something special about this place, and that this is where she wanted to stay grounded. One of the first things she did after moving to Idaho as a teenager was go rafting on the Salmon River, and she’s been in love with the water ever since! Lisa has been in the outfitting industry coordinating trips and working with guests for over a decade, the experience she brings to our business is unrivaled.

Alongside our operation at Salmon River Drifters - Fred works full time as an EMT with the City of Riggins Ambulance, & Lisa works as a Preschool teacher for Riggins Elementary School.

We are so happy to share our passion with you. Outfitting & Guiding is more than just a business to us. It’s a lifestyle that has shaped who we are as people & how we raise our family.

We want you to be a part of our ever-changing story.
